Ezzoura Errami, Morocco

Ezzoura is a Moroccan lecturer/researcher with an extensive background in the Earth Sciences, as well as an extensive history with international geoscientific professional organizations.

She is currently the Dean of the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Safi, Morocco, and was a Full Professor at the Geology Department of Chouaïb Doukkali University, Morocco, where she did her “Doctorat Es-Sciences” in 2001 in collaboration with Ruprecht Karls University, Germany.

Her current major research interest is petrology, geochemistry, structural geology, geoheritage, geotourism, geoeducation, sustainable development, and gender-related studies in geosciences. She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific papers, conference papers, books, reports, and guidebooks. She chaired and was a member of organizing committees and/or scientific committees of numerous international scientific events and is serving as AAWG President and AGN and DESAME Coordinator, ArabGU Vice President, IAPG Africa coordinator. Also, she served as IUGS Councillor, CIFEG Managing Board member, AAWG Assistant General Secretary.

As a result of her responsibilities and involvement in numerous national and international organizations, she has gained experience in leadership, negotiation, innovation, public speaking, communication, teamwork, editing, project delivery, report evaluation, sponsorship, and fundraising, including organizing national and international scientific and cultural events.

Ezzoura collaborates internationally with scientific communities, politicians, and stakeholders. There are many principles she adheres to, including peace for sustainable socio-economic development, regional and international integration, and scientific ethics. In all science-related activities, she believes the human element is crucial. Her positive attitudes and sociable nature facilitate easy and fluid integration in multicultural groups.
